INNOVATIONS IN ATOMIC SPECTROSCOPY: Laser-Induced breakdown spectroscopy
With instruments like the ChemReveal™ LIBS Desktop Analyzer there is now an easy way to directly identify and analyze every element - including light elements - in every matrix of a solid sample. This chemical analysis solution boasts the following advantages over traditional methods:
- Direct analysis in seconds: capable of direct, fast, and multi-elemental and chemical analysis of solids with minimal to no sample preparation. Unlike ICP, LIBS does not require laborious digestion - it can analyze solids directly.
- Complete elemental range: when detection of truly light elements like Al, Mg, and C is needed, and time to make flat samples is not available, ChemReveal™ LIBS Desktop Analyzer is the perfect alternative to XRF. This chemical analysis solution can measure organic elements with the aid of a purge gas to remove background interferences, samples that are not flat, and the chemical composition of features as small as 5 mm in diameter.
- Matrix compatibility with virtually every solid sample: works on amorphous, powder, and non-conductive samples and can even conduct micro-scale targeting and spatial mapping for more detailed chemical analysis.
