Collimated light sheet optics model 610024 is specially designed for combustion diagnostics use. The light sheet optics generates a parallel, uniform light sheet with a height of 100 mm, so that a constant energy distribution along the length of the light sheet is maintained. The constant energy distribution ensures that the laser illumination across a flame section is uniform, in order to obtain quantitative measurement with uniform illumination in the flame. Various species and temperature profiles can be measured in the flame.

While the height of the light sheet is maintained at 100 mm, the thickness of the light sheet can be changed by using different focusing lenses, which are included with the system. The ability to control the thickness of the light sheet is critical in order to get the true planar measurement.

The optical material is specially designed for UV wavelengths as low as 180 nm,  up to 900 nm. The collimated light sheet optics can be used for a wide range of applications requiring a parallel laser light sheet.
