As frac-sand mines open in Chippewa County (Western Wisconsin) for oil and gas refinery, TSI's DUSTTRAK™ will serve as an important tool for assessing environmental impacts and air quality. Already, researchers at University of Wisconsin- Eau Claire have used the DUSTTRAK to track the presence of minute silica particles in the air- common with this type of mining.
