EXPOSURE MONITORING
Exposure monitoring is conducted to evaluate workplace health and safety conditions as they relate to workers' exposures to chemical, physical, and biological hazards during the time they are on the job. Monitoring assists management in selecting and implementing effective workplace engineering controls; developing administrative controls; and selecting, using, and determining the limitations of personal protective equipment.
TSI manufactures a variety of exposure monitoring instruments for measuring airborne dust and aerosol mass concentrations and instruments for measuring or monitoring gas concentrations in industrial settings and exposure monitoring.
A new area of occupational health interest is exposure assessment and monitoring of engineered-nanoparticles.
