TSI's Ultrafine Particle Counter is Choice of DNREC's Nanoparticle Study

2009-11-20 - TSI Ultrafine Part Counter DNRECs Nano Study.pdf

TSI’s Ultrafine Particle Counter (3031) is the instrument of choice for a new study conducted by Delaware’s Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Control’s Division of Air Quality Management for its ability to continuously monitor and count airborne nanoparticles- a growing health concern for many- for several size ranges.

This detailed information will ultimately provide researchers with clues to identifying sources of nanoparticles, their chemistry, and their behaviors; in addition to a better understanding of the effects nanoparticles may have on our health. Currently, Delaware is only one of three states taking up the lead on this important research, all of which rely upon TSI’s Ultrafine Particle Counter.

For more information on this study, read the article in the recent Air and Waste Matters Newsletter  and/or check out Delaware’s Division of Air & Waste Management website .
