Whether your worksite includes permit-required or non-permit-required confined spaces, reducing respiratory risk is crucial.

In an article published July 1st by ISHN (Industrial Safety & Hygiene News) magazine, TSI Product Manager Kevin Chase explains some of the respiratory dangers that are unique to confined space work, including:

  • OSHA classifications
  • respirable particle exposure readings
  • types of airborne dusts and materials
  • crystalline respirable silica monitoring
  • certifications like IECEx/ATEX and CSA, and
  • benefits of intrinsically safe tools to measure exposure in confined spaces.
