The Engine Exhaust Particle Sizer (EEPS) spectrometer Model 3090 measures the size distribution of engine exhaust particle emissions from 5.6 to 560 nm with the fastest time resolution available (10 Hz). Users can visualize and study the dynamic behavior of particle emissions that occur during transient test cycles, during the first few seconds of a cold start, or during regeneration of a particle trap or diesel particulate filter (DPF).

Product Details

TSI's EEPS spectrometer uses sensitive electrometers, combined with three proprietary data inversion matrices, to provide particle size data in 32 size channels (16 channels per decade). The data inversion matrices allow the researcher to optimize data accuracy for particle type (soot, default and compact), and matrices can be applied in a post-processing environment. The EEPS spectrometer does not include any sample dilution, giving the user maximum flexibility and independence with respect to sample conditioning.

The EEPS spectrometer operates at ambient pressure to prevent evaporation of volatile and semivolatile particles, and it requires no consumables. Providing size distributions and number concentrations (ranging down to 200 #/cm3) ten times a second, the EEPS spectrometer is a very valuable tool for any engine emissions researcher.
