The EBT731-3X3 is a multipurpose electronic Balometer capture hood that takes direct air volume readings at supply and return diffusers, grilles, and registers, configured with the larger 3 ft x 3 ft (915 mm x 915 mm) hood for large square diffusers where a standard 2 ft x 2 ft hood would not provide proper capture. It uses back-pressure compensation for accurate readings, automatically senses and displays supply or return flow, and includes a detachable micromanometer that works with optional probes for pressure, velocity, and temperature and humidity measurements, supporting HVAC commissioning, testing, adjusting, and balancing work.Kit includes: Instrument, base assembly, 3 ft x 3 ft hood, 18 in pitot probe, (2) static pressure probes, 16 ft tubing, battery charger, (4) NiMH batteries, USB interface cable, and wheeled carrying case.
The included static pressure probes and 18 in pitot probe support HVAC pressure measurement and velocity calculation at duct points away from the hood. The wheeled carrying case supports easy transport between job sites with the larger hood configuration.
